About DearMBA

DearMBA envelope with fountain pen

I started DearMBA because I believe an MBA can be transformational, not just for your career, but for your sense of purpose, your confidence, and your trajectory in life. But getting in? That part can feel overwhelming, high-stakes, and, too often, lonely.

I've been on the other side of the table interviewing prospective students for Columbia Business School. And through these interviews and application reviews, I've come to know what makes an application pop and what causes it to blend into the background. What gets attention and what raises red flags. And above all, how powerful a story can be, if it's told right.

This isn't a big, faceless consulting firm with junior editors and templated advice. It's just me, working directly with a very small number of applicants who are ready to dig deep, get strategic, and push themselves to deliver the strongest application they're capable of. I don't take on more clients than I can handle. If we work together, you'll have my full attention.

What makes DearMBA different isn't just the strategy, though you'll get plenty of that. It's the belief that you're more than your resume, test scores, or job title. I'll help you build an application that reflects your values, your ambition, your past and the future you're trying to create.

This work is personal to me. I come from a background where the path to elite institutions wasn't obvious and I know how transformative it can be to step into those spaces with confidence. Helping others do the same is why I do this.

I've seen how one great application can open doors that change everything. Let's build yours.
